The role of Cloud Computing in EC strategies: Learnings from the H-CLOUD webinar

On 23 June 2020, H-CLOUD organised its first open webinar “Shaping the role of the European Cloud Community in the new EU Data Strategy and Industrial Strategy”. The webinar kicked-off with a presentation on the role of Cloud Computing in the EU Data Strategy and Industrial Strategy held by Alexandra Paul, Chief Economist at the Cloud & Software Unit of DG CONNECT, European Commission. Hereafter Federico M. Facca from H-CLOUD Project Coordinator Martel Innovate introduced the H-CLOUD project and sketched its broader strategic context within the next work programmes of the European Commission. Finally, Mark Dietrich from H-CLOUD partner EGI invited participants to discuss the practical implications of the EU Data Strategy and Industrial Strategy for the European Cloud Community.

A total of 37 Cloud Computing Stakeholders joined the webinar and shared valuable feedback on the new strategies. A big “thank you” from the whole H-CLOUD team to all webinar participants for their valuable input.
