HORIZON CLOUD has officially launched two calls for submissions for Horizon Cloud Summit 2021, which will take place physically on 8 – 9 December 2021 at Cloud Expo Europe, Messe Frankfurt, Germany. More information on the event and registration here.
Cloud innovators, researchers, and SMEs are invited to actively shape the event programme by answering two calls for submissions. The first call for submissions invites interested Cloud stakeholders to apply for a conference slot to present their Cloud success story and innovation use case. The second call for submissions encourages researchers to apply for a presentation slot to discuss research challenges in Cloud Computing. The submission deadline for both calls is 17 November 2021 12:00 CET. More information on the calls can be found below.
Call for Submissions 1: Success Stories and Use Cases from the European Cloud Community
Background
Cloud Computing is now widely adopted in a different range of sectors. Still, thanks to the fast-paced evolution of related technologies, it constantly brings new innovations to different sectors. How do you create innovation using Cloud technologies? What great innovation did you bring about using Cloud Computing, and in which sector does it bring its benefits, to whom, and how? Take the chance to present your best practices and innovation use cases through Cloud adoption at Horizon Cloud Summit 2021.

Submit a short description of your best practices and innovation use cases using this form. Based on your submission, you will get the chance to present your best practice or use case (max. 10 mins) during one of the Summit sessions. We will select up to 8 presentations for Horizon Cloud Summit 2021.

Call for Submissions 2: Cloud Computing Research Challenges
Background
Europe has a vivid community of researchers working in Cloud Computing. As new Work Programmes from the European Commission are coming up soon, this call for submissions gives researchers the opportunity to provide their view on the research priorities Europe should focus on in the future.
How to submit?
Propose a presentation (max. 10 minutes) on Cloud Computing research challenges using this form. We will select up to 4 presentations for Horizon Cloud Summit 2021.
